The META Marathon takes place in the art gallery and exhibition center NRW-Forum in Düsseldorf. The NRW-Forum is located right next to Rhine river and close to the city center and the Altstadt (the old city center).
Three stations for public transport are close to the NRW-Forum which makes it easily accessible by the subway.
If you are traveling to Düsseldorf you have a few different options. The city is well connected and has an international airport, a big train station and a bus station for long-distance busses.

The easiest way to come to the NRW-Forum is by public transport and it only costs you a few euros. Around the art gallery are three stations you can use. The closest one is Tonhalle/Ehrenhof where you can take the U-Bahn U70, U74, U75, U76 and U77. At the station Nordstraße U runs the U-Bahn U78 and U79 and also the tramway 701 and 705. At the station Sternstraße you can take the tramway 701, 705 and 706.

Arrival by plane
If you're arriving at the Düsseldorf Airport you can take at the station Düsseldorf Flughafen the S-Bahn S1 to Solingen Hbf and get off the train at Düsseldorf Hbf or you take at the station Düsseldorf Flughafen Terminal the S-Bahn S11 to Bergisch Gladbach and also get off the train at Düsseldorf Hbf.
From there you can take the U Bahn U74 to Meerbusch Görgesheide, U75 to Neuss Hbf, U76 to Rheinstraße and U77 to Am Seestern and get off the subway at Tonhalle/Ehrenhof.
Have in mind that the airport Düsseldorf Weeze is not near the city but close the the border of the netherlands. The easiest way to get to the city is by bus. Arrival by bus
The bus station for long-distance busses is located at Worringer Platz. Worringer Platz is close to the Düsseldorf main train station. If you're arriving at the bus station the easiest way to get to NRW-Forum is by walking to the train station Düsseldorf Hbf and from there you can take the U Bahn U74 to Meerbusch Görgesheide, U75 to Neuss Hbf, U76 to Rheinstraße and U77 to Am Seestern and get off the subway at Tonhalle/Ehrenhof. From Worringer Platz you can also take the tramway 704, 708 or 709 to Düsseldorf Hbf and then switch to the subway.

Arrival by car
Düsseldorf can be reached by car via the Autobahn A3, A44, A46 and A57.
There are a few parking spots at the back of the building (next to the Rhine). The address you want to type in your GPS is Oederallee. Pass through the Oederallee until you reach traffic lights, then turn right towards Joseph-Beuys-Ufer. The parking spots are located right at the corner Oederallee / Joseph-Beuys-Ufer. You will be able to remove one of the bollards to enter the parking area.
